I was one of the playtesters and made a comment after the playtest but forgot to mention one thing. I used to like Twinsen’s idle animations when he is in sport/running mode, he was doing warm up moves when he was waiting. Also he was making an angry voice when in combat mode 🙂

Now these modes seem to be merged; when idle he just stands there, runs if you move him, and no angry voice when fighting. I would love to see this kind of detail in the remastered version, hope you have plans to include some of them 🙂

Thank you for doing this remastered version 🙂 I also hope you find enough resources to continue the reboot project some day, maybe a kickstarter campaign might help.

    Cheers

  2. Hello, I’m a big fan of Twinsen and I heard the news today.
I was already preparing to buy the “remastered” ones in the future, but honestly the graphic and artistic style disappointed me a lot, I didn’t like it, because it lost the magic of a game that, in the 90’s, was ahead of its time in graphics. Now it seems to have regressed.
Of course, I don’t know if it’s the final style or not, because I don’t know the game creation process how it works.
I’ll wait, but remember, as much as you want to please the new audience, don’t forget your audience that has followed Twinsen for 30 years.

If the style remains, I prefer the classic and simple graphics, as it is much prettier.

  3. wow, it is my favorit game from childhood. pls try to make good new game, we wating tooooooo…. much time for that. and we wanna multiplayer in lba3 pls pls pls….

  4. LBA is the greatest game… I won’t waste time on curtsies, I’ll be brief.
In the test version, Twinsen became unnatural.
His running depresses me, as if Twinsen’s age is well over 60, or these are prison shoes with red brick soles that the hero cannot get rid of.
Clones with flat heads… do not evoke hatred, but pity.
An unnatural reaction of delight, as if Twinsen had a stick tied to his sleeves and he couldn’t bend his elbow joints.

I’m looking forward to your project… but so far the original looks better aesthetically.
